SPOKANE, WA - Cancer Care Northwest (CCNW) is excited to announce the rollout of its new specialty pharmacy dispensing service, which will allow CCNW patients to receive their specialty oral oncolytic and self- injectable medications (controlled substances not included) directly from CCNW, rather than having to travel to an outside retail pharmacy or wait for a mail-order prescription.
“This new service is another way that CCNW is continuing to provide comprehensive cancer treatment for our patients. Bridging the gap between provider's office and pharmacy will allow for a more seamless start to treatment and ease the frustrating experience patients often have with obtaining specialty medications” says CCNW Pharmacy Director Lauren Arguinchona, Pharm D, BCPS.
Patients who opt to enroll is this new service can expect streamlined specialty pharmacy support, including a dedicated Pharmacist and Care Coordinators. Our specialty pharmacy team will assist patients with questions regarding insurance coverage, financial assistance, provide medication counseling, and fulfill your prescription through CCNW. Once the prescription has been fulfilled, patients can pick-up medications during their appointments at CCNW North, South or Valley clinics.
