Patient Navigation

We understand that coordinating your care can be a complicated process. Because of this, we have two Patient Navigators here to help you know exactly which resources are available to help you throughout treatment. They can help you identify community resources that provide transportation, lodging, and general support services. These services at Cancer Care Northwest are free and confidential.

Our Patient Navigator services are provided by social workers Pamela Fitch and Elana Stahl.

"Like most folks, I was devastated when they told me I had breast cancer and I was completely lost when it came to finding the best oncologist for my type of cancer.  So I spoke with a physician friend of mine who referred me to CCNW and that was ten months ago.  Today is my last chemo treatment and as crazy as it sounds-I’m really going to miss coming in every week.  I have had the most compassionate care in a state of the art facility with staff and providers who keep up-to-the-minute with the latest treatments and cutting edge studies.  Combine that along with the yoga, support groups, counseling, a nutritionist and an outstanding patient navigator who has connected me with many resources.   Any way you slice it, treatment for cancer is no walk in the park.  But, the confidence I have in CCNW coupled with all of the support available 24/7, has enabled me to tolerate any treatment side effects and maintain a positive attitude throughout the entire process.  Thank you CCNW for being here in Spokane!  You are truly the best of the best when it comes to dealing with cancer."

Sincerely,
Barbara Cottrell

"CCNW has helped me in every phase of my experience.  I have been assisted with Financial concerns, insurance complications , emotional support and logistics in addition to compassionate timely physical care.  My doctors and nurses have provided me with the best care I could have possibly imagined.  I couldn’t be happier with my experience."
