An experienced radiation oncologist, Dr. Wayne Lamoreaux provides extensive expertise as the Practice President of Cancer Care Northwest. For a two-year term, Dr. Lamoreaux will help lead CCNW in the continued mission to apply the unique comprehensive, innovative, compassionate and integrated approach to beating cancer here in the Inland Northwest.
This will be Dr. Lamoreaux’s second term as President of the group, as he served the same role for 2 years, through 2011-2013. During his prior tenure as President, he helped lead the formation of the Alliance for Cancer Care, CCNW’s formal Radiation Oncology affiliation with Providence Health & Services and Kootenai Health. Together, the three entities have raised the bar and set a new standard for Radiation Oncology services in the Inland Northwest region. He served as the first Medical Director of the “Alliance”. Dr. Lamoreaux was also instrumental in helping CCNW become an independent, physician-owned practice in 2008.
Dr. Lamoreaux has been a Radiation Oncologist at Cancer Care Northwest for 17 years. He pursued his medical degree at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. Dr. Lamoreaux completed an internship at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane, WA, and his residency at Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Lamoreaux is board certified by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology, and is a Fellow of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (FASTRO). In addition to providing leading-edge Radiation Oncology treatment, he has also been recognized as one of the Best Doctors in America® for several years in a row.
