An Individualized Approach to Treating Breast Cancer
We understand that no two cancers are the same. At Cancer Care Northwest, you will find an individualized approach to treating breast cancer that incorporates both genetic and genomic testing. Genetic testing determines the inherit risk of carrying certain gene mutations, including BRCA1, BRCA2, and PALB2 mutations. Genomic testing, also know as tumor profiling, is performed to determine the specific genes of the cancer cells. Knowing the genetics of a tumor allows us to tailor a treatment plan specific to each individual. Two genomic testing tools we utilize at Cancer Care Northwest are Oncotype Dx and Mammaprint.

Cancer Clinical Trials
Cancer Care Northwest is deeply committed to the ongoing effort to find new and improved ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. We offer several clinical trials for multiple types of cancer and participate in as many as 50 to 100 clinical trials with partnering cancer centers. These clinical trials give our patients access to emerging treatment options right here in Spokane, eliminating the need to travel outside of the Inland Northwest for the latest in cancer treatment. The clinical trials also provide important information to help conquer cancer.
