Cancer Care Northwest (CCNW) is proud to announce the induction of Zachary D. Guss, MD, MSc as CCNW’s newest Radiation Oncologist. Dr. Guss will help CCNW in the continued mission to provide innovative, compassionate, and integrated care for cancer patients here in the Inland Northwest.
Dr. Guss received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Harvard University and went on to attain a Master’s of Science in Radiation Biology from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Dr. Guss graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed an Internal Medicine Internship at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California and returned to Johns Hopkins University to pursue a residency in radiation oncology.
Dr. Guss is experienced in modern radiation techniques including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy for a broad range of cancer types and benign conditions. Dr. Guss has presented his research at United States and international radiation oncology meetings, published numerous articles in scientific journals, authored several chapters in oncology textbooks, and received numerous academic honors and awards.
