Dr. Mark Sienko joined Cancer Care Northwest in September of 2006 as a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist.
He is board certified in Oncology, Hematology
and Internal Medicine, and has a special interest
in treating breast and lung cancers. He completed his Hematology/Oncology
fellowship training at the University of
Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas,
where he was named Chief Hematology Oncology Fellow
for 2004-2005. Before undertaking his specialized training
in cancer, Dr. Sienko was an Internal Medicine physician.
He was Director of the St. Paul Internal Medicine Clinic,
St. Paul Medical Center in Dallas, TX, for
eight years and prior to that was in private practice
with a group of internists and general surgeons in
Dallas.Dr. Sienko completed his Internal Medicine Residency
at the St. Paul Medical Center, Dallas, TX, in 1992,
where he was Chief Resident of Internal Medicine from
1991-1992. He obtained his Medical Degree from the
University of Illinois, Rockford, IL in 1989. Prior
to that, he attended the University
of Illinois-Chicago Circle campus for pre-medical
studies, and Northwestern University, Evanston, IL,
where he obtained a B.S. degree in Speech.Before
joining Cancer Care Northwest, Dr.
Sienko was with Texas Oncology-Plano West, another
US Oncology practice based in Plano, TX. |
