News: Welcome Dr. Njuguna
Cancer Care Northwest is pleased to announce they have hired Ndegwa M. Njuguna, MD, as a Medical Oncologist and Hematologist. Dr. Njuguna will be joining Cancer Care Northwest as its eighth Medical Oncologist and will be seeing patients at the Valley office.
Dr. Njuguna comes to Cancer Care Northwest following a recently completed fellowship in Oncology and Hematology at the National Cancer Institute in Rockville, MD.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Njuguna has conducted research on the development of new drug therapies for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL), a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow. His research focused on complications of current drug therapies used to treat CLL, and their cause. Several of his research findings have been presented at the American Society of Hematology (ASH) annual meeting and published in its medical journal, Blood (ASH Annual Meeting Abstracts). Dr. Njuguna also has a special interest in treating patients with lymphoma and chronic leukemia.
