CBC – Complete Blood Count: A complete blood count is used as a screening test for various disease states including anemia (tired and weak), inflammatory processes (infections) and increased bruising (decreased platelets). Components measured in this test include white blood cells, red blood cells, hemoglobin and platelets. Does not require fasting.
Glucose: Test results provide an assessment of carbohydrate metabolism which includes onset diabetes, hypoglycemia (levels too low) and insulin metabolism. 2 hour fasting is preferable.*
