2012 Breast Education and Support Program
THRIVING BEFORE, DURING & AFTER BREAST CANCER
Not all cancers can be prevented, but diet and lifestyle choices can increase – or decrease – your risk. Several Spokane regional organizations have partnered with Cancer Care Northwest Foundation to provide the Thriving Before, During, and After Breast Cancer seminar. This seminar is focused on providing comprehensive information to anyone interested in breast cancer prevention, education, and survivorship support. Thriving Before, During, and After Breast Cancer is funded by Susan G. Komen for the Cure and local community partners.
Breast cancer specialists from nursing, nutrition, counseling, physical therapy, and naturopathic medicine will teach the classes and help you apply the information presented. The seminar is broken into 3 separate sessions, each with a different focus. Participants can register for the sessions individually – choosing topics that are of interest to them. Sessions will be repeated in January, February, and March for multiple scheduling options.

There is a nominal fee of $20 to attend the sessions. This fee is waived for clients of the Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program (BCCHP) or Cancer Patient Care. Registration is required.
